Professor at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, department of Fashion – Clothing Design, Elena Basso Stanescu has an extensive artistic activity crowned with numerous awards. The exhibitions, personal projects, fashion shows, the coordinated actions, the annual organization of UAD Fashion Design Gala, the workshops, conferences which make up her resume have in common the relevance of the approaches that open new perspectives, directions, trends in decorative art and in the Romanian contemporary fashion. Her participation in national and international events in Paris, Miami, Düsseldorf, Florence, Munich, Belgrade, etc., her experience acquired in numerous relations with fashion industry and her understanding of the industry-specific issues are benchmarks that give substance to the didactic dimension, and thus lead to outstanding results obtained by the students of the department.
